Elham Etemadi is an Iranian painter born in Shiraz in 1983 and based in Paris. Her expressionist figurative paintings combine Persian storytelling, intense colour, memory and dream imagery. Women, animals and symbolic forms inhabit compositions in which scale, identity and narrative remain deliberately unstable.
