Pussy Riot
Pussy Riot is a Russian feminist art collective and protest movement founded in Moscow in 2011. Through masked performances, music, video and direct action, the group has transformed public space into a site of confrontation with Vladimir Putin’s government, the Russian Orthodox Church, patriarchal power, censorship and war.
This archive brings together articles and interviews examining Pussy Riot’s actions, from Punk Prayer and the imprisonment of several members to their opposition to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
